BEAUTIFUL. FUNCTIONAL. APPROACHABLE.

Yellow House Interior Design specializes in real life: rugs your dog can nap on, pillows your kids can use to build a fort, furniture that helps you keep clutter under control. Whether you are starting from scratch with a brand new renovation, are finally ready to turn that storage space / guest bedroom into the home office you have always imagined, or just need a few well-chosen updates for a tired room, we are here to help.

We understand that coming home is what you look forward to at the end of a hard day. It is where you relax with coffee and the Sunday paper, where you go to get away from the world and get back to your family. We think your home should look - and feel- like the best possible version of you.

Jennifer Corteville is the Founder and Principal of Yellow House Interior Design. She earned a degree in Economics at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN, and received a BA in Interior Architecture and Design from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. She spent multiple years as a Designer at Backen Gillam Architects, working on Commercial projects like Catch in Santa Monica, CA and the West Shore Inn at Lake Tahoe before moving to Residential projects with April Powers Interior Design. Jennifer launched Yellow House in 2011 with the goal of highlighting her passion for family friendly Interior Design that is accessible to everyone. She is naturally drawn toward a modern, eclectic style, but loves starting with a client's vision and finding ways to build on their ideas. Jen is a big believer in the power of color and texture, mix of high and low, and incorporating a few unexpected elements that add personality and interest.

She currently lives in Corte Madera, CA with her husband and their 2 children in an occasionally messy but always inviting Yellow House.
